Son of Henry and Ann Maria Armsby, of Ten Mile Bank, Downham, Norfolk. Buried in ROMERIES COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Nord, France. Grave II. E. II.
BEDFORD	George	Served with both the Royal Sussex Regt and the Lincoln Regt and died of wounds in 1918, but does not appear on either SDGW or the CWGC Register
CHAPMAN	George Henry	Private 16637, 11th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action Saturday 28th April 1917 in France & Flanders. Age 23. Born Little Ouse, enlisted Ely. Son of John and Rebecca Chapman, of Modney Bridge, Downham, Norfolk. Born at Black Horse Drove, Littleport, Cambs. Buried in ROEUX BRITISH CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France. Grave D. 29.
COOPER	Alfred	Private 34939, 9th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died of wounds 3rd September 1917 (wounded 7th August 1917). Age 29. Born Hilgay, enlisted Kings Lyn, resident Manea. Son of Samuel & Rebecca Cooper, Ten Mile Bank, Hilgay. Husband of Bertha Delina Cooper, Fodder Fen. Formerly Norfolk Regiment. Buried in ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN, Seine-Maritime, France. GATHERCOLE	Francis [Frank] Walter	Private 28508, 9th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of wounds Saturday 30th December 1916 in France & Flanders. Age 25. Enlisted Norwich. Husband of Emma Bidwell (formerly Gathercole), of Witchford, Ely. Buried in ELY CEMETERY, Cambridgeshire. Grave F. 1301.

Born Feltwell, enlisted Bury St Edmunds, resident Ely. Buried in PUCHEVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY, Somme, France. Grave III. F. 36. or G Gathecole, private 32985, 11th Battalion, King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment). Died Wednesday 25th April 1917 in France & Flanders. Age 36. PAYNE	William	probably William Payne, Private 42374, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Died of wounds 20th September 1916 in France & Flanders. Age 25. Born Southery, enlisted Downham Market. Son of William and Rachel Payne, of Westfield House, Feltwell, Brandon, Suffolk. Native of Southery, Norfolk. Buried in DERNANCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France. Grave II. A. 15.

WALKER	Percy	Private 18318, 8th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Monday 22nd October 1917 in France & Flanders. Age 25. Born Hilgay, Norfolk, enlisted Norwich. Son of James and Sarah Walker of Ten Mile Bank, who incidentally are buried on the opposite side of the church to the War Memorial.
