Ten Mile Bank is a fenland hamlet of around 200 inhabitants situated on the west bank of the River Great Ouse between Denver and Littleport and has the only road crossing of the river between those two points.
It is sandwiched between the Great West Fen to the north east and Hilgay Fen to the south west.
The river road between Denver and Littleport runs parallel to the main A10 London to King's Lynn road on the opposite side of the river.
The village has no public house or shop. The nearest are in Hilgay - 2 miles away. The nearest Post Office is at Denver - 4 miles away.
To the north are the towns of Downham Market (5 miles) and King's Lynn (18 miles). Both have railway stations on the London to King's Lynn line. Downham Market is less than 90 minutes from London by train.
To the south lie Littleport (9 miles), Ely (14 miles) and Cambridge (30 miles).
